Jennine McCulley, 27, of Wellington found the 2019 Kansas Wheat Festival Medallion after just four clues.The Medallion was found in the Melody Bowl area just east of the Wellington golf course and west of the Armory.McCulley found it after just 20 minutes of looking.  It was in a tree in a McDonald’s Restaurant bag.McCulley has an official registered Kansas Wheat Festival button so she will be $1,000 richer. She said her and her two teammates just started looking for the Medallion Clue this afternoon for just 20 minutes. They figures from the clues that Lincoln Street was the east-west dividing line for Wellington and there were a set of rules at the Melody Bowl park and “Everyone is welcome.”The Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce will reward McCulley with the winnings during the Picnic at the Park.We will be giving the meanings of the clues probably tomorrow.Follow us on Facebook.Follow us on Twitter.last_img read more
