Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X may be real, here’s some proof

first_imgThere’s a lot of chit-chatter happening around what seems to be some sort of turbo-charged version of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4. The phone in question, the alleged Redmi Note 4X, may be real after all. Live images of what is said to be the Redmi Note 4X, showing off the phone’s front and backside, have made their way to the Internet and by the looks of it, the phone may be an all-new phone in its own right. It may, at the same time, share some features with the Note 4, but, nothing is for certain for now.According to the leaked images , the Redmi Note 4X has a Mi 5 like physical home button on the front that should double as a fingerprint scanner. That the phone doesn’t have a module (circular, like it is on the Redmi Note 4) suggests likewise while also hinting that it could be a different phone and not just a spec-sheet version of the Redmi Note 4. The report, that cites these images, does not however share hardware specifications of the said device. But, because the phone was recently spotted on TENAA certification website, we have a clue or two about what may be in store. The alleged Redmi Note 4X may come with either a MediaTek Helio X20 or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor clubbed with 4 gigs of RAM and 32GB/ 64GB of internal memory. Rest of the specification will reportedly stay the same as the Redmi Note 4.The Redmi Note 4, which is available in China, comes in two variants: one with 2GB RAM and 16GB memory, and another with 3GB RAM and 64GB memory.advertisementExpandable storage is also supported. It comes with a 5.5-inch FullHD IPS display with a 1080p resolution and curved 2.5D glass. The phone is powered by a 10-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor. The dualSIM phone runs Android Marshmallow-based MIUI 8 out-of-the-box and supports 4G LTE (and VoLTE-ready).The Redmi Note 4 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus and dualLED flash.
